Juicy Bits

My son was feeling very down last night and so we had a little chat and we both agreed that we would eat more ‘happy’ foods to help us get through this blue time of year.

Well we have done our best today by eating mangos, seeds, broccoli, blueberries, nuts and raw ginger.  No not all in one meal.

We discovered this great juice, that when consumed in the morning, it really wakes you up with a zing!

You will need a juicer for this and a fine grater.  Along with 2 apples, 2 pears, and 1.5 cm piece of raw ginger per person.

Juice the apples and pears together.  Grate the ginger and stir into the juice.  Drink and feel tingly all over.

If it is a particularly cold day, you could make some ginger tea and add some of this warm liquid to the cold juice.

If you have been overindulging on the old vino, then it is a good livener for the liver.

Get juicing and get happy!
