The countdown has really begun!
Today is the day I have finally gone and done it. I have braved the scales for this what will be my starting point on My Big Fat Diet. I’m not sharing my start weight, simply because I’m not brave enough at this point, but I will be adding my updates (losses and gains) each week on a Tuesday to the site.
I have been building up to this moment for what seems like an eternity, but in reality it’s been about 3 weeks and it’s all beacuse I didn’t want to see what the scales true story actually told me. After 3 weeks in denial about the scales and what they might say, I can compare myself to how I suspect a prisoner on the run must feel like, avoiding every situation, conversation and generally not feeling great about things! But today is the day, today i’ve felt brave enough to step on and see the starting weight.
The actual number looks enormous to me, and I feel like I’ve got SO far to go, but I’m being realistic and as the days go by and i’m documenting what i’m eating as well as how i’m doing I would love some encouragement, words of advice or simply some “pull yourself together” words when needed!
Next Tuesday I’ll let you know how I’ve got on. In the meantime I’ve had my lunch and am thinking about inspiration for later on!
